Side Effects of Omnadren
As with all anabolic steroids, the side effects of Omnadren are very real; however, when it comes to this steroid they are very easy to avoid. Omnadren is a testosterone compound; the same testosterone hormone that makes up the more common Cypionate, Enanthate, and Propionate versions. The only difference in Omnadren is the esters. In this case there are four esters attached rather than the traditional one. In any case, the esters do not have an effect on the compound’s mode of action and, as a result, the side effects of Omnadren will be the same as all testosterone compounds.
Estrogenic Side Effects of Omnadren:
The side effects of Omnadren include those of an estrogenic nature due to this steroid’s ability to aromatize. Aromatization refers to the conversion of testosterone into estrogen, and as estrogen levels rise, this can lead to three of the most common anabolic steroidal side effects, gynecomastia, water retention, and high blood pressure. Keeping does at a reasonable level will provide a lot of protection, but it’s often not enough.
If we are to protect ourselves from the primary side effects of Omnadren, such as gynecomastia, most men will need a Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator (SERM) or Aromatase Inhibitor (AI). SERM’s function by binding to the receptors in the chest thereby preventing estrogen from binding; however, they’re not always strong enough. As for AI’s, they directly inhibit the aromatase process from occurring and go as far as to lower the body’s total estrogen levels. AI’s are by far the most effective at preventing gynecomastia and the same can be said of excess water retention. Further, by controlling excess water retention with an AI, we largely control blood pressure as water retention is what leads to high blood pressure in this case. It must be noted: AI’s can have a negative impact on both LDL and HDL cholesterol levels. For this reason it is imperative you control your diet and continue to live in a way that promotes the continuation of healthy levels. A diet rich in omega fatty acids is a good place to start as omega fatty acids will increase HDL levels, and this will improve LDL levels as HDL cholesterol largely regulates LDL cholesterol.
Dihydrotestosterone Side Effects of Omnadren:
The estrogenic side effects of Omnadren are by far the most common and concerning, but the side effects of Omnadren do include three possible effects of a dihydrotestosterone (DHT) nature. Of the three effects acne is the most common and probably one of the easiest side effects of Omnadren to avoid. Most men will find if they keep their skin clean and dry at all times they won’t have a problem. Of course, if you’re genetically sensitive to acne this may make things a little more difficult, but if you put in the effort you should stay clean. For those who are truly sensitive, you may need dermatological treatment.
Beyond acne, the side effects of Omnadren include hair loss; this is brought on by a buildup of DHT, and DHT has the ability to deteriorate the hair follicles. Even so, it is only possible in men who are predisposed to male pattern baldness, meaning they were going to lose their hair anyway. Those who are not predisposed have no concern, but if you are predisposed and concerned about your hairline there is hope. Many men have found the 5-alpha reductase inhibitor, Finasteride, to offer a great deal of protection; you know Finasteride best by Propecia and Proscar.
While Finasteride can provide protection for your hairline, where it will be most valuable is in combating prostate enlargement. Of all the side effects of Omnadren, prostate enlargement is the most dangerous; however, it’s also the most unlikely. Men who supplement with anabolic steroids responsibly and who already have a healthy prostate will almost never have a problem. Of course there can be unpredictable underlying issues, but if prostate enlargement occurs for any reason this is where Finasteride will truly help. Many men have found the DHT suppressor to go as far as to completely remedy enlargement with six months of therapy.
Testosterone Side Effects of Omnadren:
Like most all anabolic steroids the side effects of Omnadren include natural testosterone suppression. How great the suppression is always varies from steroid to steroid and dosing can play a role, but in this case it will be heavy regardless of the dosing. Due to this suppression, the side effects of Omnadren also include testicular atrophy. Your testicles will shrink, but this does not mean they’ll disappear. They’ll simply lose a little fullness. Of course these side effects of Omnadren are in a lot of ways rather meaningless; after all, Omnadren is testosterone and our body is receiving all the testosterone it needs in exogenous form. At any rate, once all use is discontinued and all the exogenous hormones have cleared your system, your natural testosterone production will begin again, and your testicles will return to their normal size. It must be noted: natural testosterone recovery is assuming no prior low testosterone condition existed. Further, it is assuming you did not damage your HPTA with improper supplementation practices.
